Time to take stock of what you bred this year (and look at what unexpected surprises you may have from volunteer breeding in your pond) and, more importantly, lessons learned. What the Web master learned:
Frogs will indeed eat baby fish and can apparently pursue them under water.
Nematodes (roundworms) can be a problem with baby fish.
Squirrels will eat water lily blossoms (once they have finished all your apples and grapes).
Mosquitoes can breed in a pond filter (even if there are no larva in the pond); check this once a week and clean the filter if you need to, to control it. Don't be the first on your block to get malaria ...
Hope it has been a happy, productive summer for you!
